Every count, chart, and percentage in flangu's statistics is calculated from your own review history, stored on your device. Nothing here is fetched from a server. Open your statistics offline and they're exactly as accurate as they are online.
This has one practical consequence: the numbers reflect the reviews your device knows about. If you review on a second device before it syncs, that device's statistics won't include those reviews yet.
Three levels
The same kinds of numbers, such as review counts, quality breakdowns, and maturity, are shown at three different scopes:
- Global: every deck and card you have, combined.
- Deck: one deck at a time.
- Card: one card at a time.
Each level answers the same questions at a different zoom level. Once you understand what a number means globally, it means the same thing at the deck or card level, just narrowed down.
Where to find each level
Stats, in the bottom navigation bar, shows your global statistics.
Statistics on a deck's detail screen shows that deck's statistics. The same button appears as a small icon on each deck row in your deck list.
Statistics on a card's detail screen shows that card's statistics.

Deck-level and card-level statistics require flangu Pro. Global statistics, in the Stats tab, are free.
What's covered here, and what isn't
This section explains the numbers themselves: what a review counts as, how maturity is determined, and why retention is shown as more than one number. Each of those gets its own article, so this overview doesn't repeat the details:
- What counts as a review, and the four quality ratings, are explained in Rating your recall.
- The New, Learning, Relearning, Young, and Mature states are explained in Card states. Statistics show you the counts of cards in each state, not the states themselves.
- A deck's target retention setting is explained in Deck settings. Statistics show your actual retention, which is a different number from that target.
A summary also appears right after you finish a review session. That summary is scoped to just that session and works a little differently from the persistent statistics described in this section; it's covered on its own.
