Deleting your account
There are two ways to delete your flangu account:
- In the app (fastest, no waiting): open flangu, go to Settings, tap Delete account near the bottom, then confirm by typing DELETE. Your account and data are erased immediately.
- Through this form: use this if you can no longer sign in to the app. Fill in the email address on your account above, select this category, and submit — our team will verify the request and delete the account manually. This route involves a person, so it isn't instant.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently and immediately removes your profile
(email, password, linked Google/Apple sign-in), decks, flashcards, review
and study history, personal translation history, saved settings and
statistics, translation-error reports you've filed, registered
devices/push tokens, and your subscription record on our servers. This
cannot be undone or reversed.
What we keep, and why
- Shared translation data — word translations, definitions and examples that flangu looks up once and reuses for every learner aren't linked to your account or identity, so they stay in place after your account is gone.
- Prior support messages — earlier messages you sent us from the same email address (including this one) are matched by email and deleted along with your account; messages sent from a different address aren't affected.
Your subscription
Deleting your account removes your subscription record from our systems,
but it does not cancel a subscription billed through the
Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel it directly in your Apple or Google
account settings first if you want to stop future charges.
