These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and the operator of the flangu mobile application ("flangu," "we," "us," or "our") — an individual developer trading as ravdar — governing your access to and use of the flangu app and any related services (collectively, the "App").
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account and use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. The App is a general-audience product and is not directed at children under 13.
2. Your Account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep your login credentials confidential.
- You may create an account with an email/password or via Google Sign-In.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us at contact@flangu.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
- You may permanently delete your account and its data at any time from within the App (Settings → delete account). This action is immediate and irreversible.
3. The Service
flangu is a spaced-repetition flashcard app for language learners. Core functionality includes:
- A built-in translator that automatically generates flashcards from translated words and phrases
- AI-generated linguistic metadata attached to your cards (synonyms, definitions, example sentences, pronunciation, and vocabulary images)
- Spoken audio (text-to-speech) for words and example sentences
- Spaced-repetition scheduling of your reviews using the FSRS-6 algorithm
- Deck organization, study statistics, and progress tracking
- An optional AI Personal Tutor chat assistant (flangu Pro)
Free features are available to all users. Additional features and higher usage limits are available through flangu Pro, described below.
3.1 AI-generated content
Translations, definitions, synonyms, example sentences, pronunciation guides, vocabulary images, and Personal Tutor responses are generated automatically using machine translation and generative AI services. While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific learning context. Do not rely on the App as your sole source for critical, legal, medical, or safety-related translations. You can flag inaccurate translations from within the App; we review reports but do not guarantee correction of any specific entry.
4. flangu Pro — Subscriptions
flangu Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features, including higher usage limits, extra example sentences, vocabulary images, and access to the Personal Tutor chat assistant.
4.1 Plans

Prices are shown in USD for reference and may vary by region and currency; the price displayed at the time of purchase in the App Store or Google Play is the price that applies to you. Prices may change from time to time; if we change the price of a plan you're subscribed to, we (or Apple/Google) will notify you in advance as required by the applicable platform, and the new price will apply from your next renewal unless you cancel beforehand.
4.2 Billing and auto-renewal
- Subscriptions are billed and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device, and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat.
- Your subscription automatically renews for the same billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your payment method will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you purchase a paid subscription during the trial period.
4.3 Managing and cancelling
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (iOS) or Google Play account settings (Android) — flangu does not have the ability to cancel your subscription directly on your behalf. Deleting the App or your flangu account does not automatically cancel an active subscription; you must cancel it through the App Store or Google Play.
4.4 Refunds
All payments are processed by Apple or Google, and refund requests are handled according to Apple's or Google's own refund policies, not by flangu directly. We do not have access to your payment details and generally cannot issue refunds ourselves. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support, or reach out to us at contact@flangu.com and we will assist where we can.
4.5 Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore an active subscription using the "Restore Purchases" option in the App.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
- Scrape, systematically extract, or use automated means (bots, crawlers) to access the App's translation, AI, or content-generation features outside of normal individual use
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any usage limits, paywalls, or entitlement checks
- Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit access to the App or its content-generation features without our prior written consent
- Upload, submit, or generate content through the App that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or that violates the rights of any third party
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its underlying infrastructure
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to take appropriate action, including removing content, and suspending or terminating accounts, in accordance with Section 9.
6. User Content
"User Content" means the words, phrases, and other text you submit to the App for translation or flashcard creation, and any feedback, reports, or support messages you send us.
- You retain ownership of your User Content.
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your User Content solely as necessary to operate, maintain, and provide the App's functionality to you (e.g., generating and syncing your flashcards, running the translation and AI metadata pipeline, and providing customer support).
- You represent that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
- We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
The App itself — including its design, software, branding, logos, and all content we create or generate that is not User Content (such as the App's interface, illustrations, and underlying algorithms) — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you to use the App for personal, non-commercial language learning, we reserve all rights, title, and interest in and to the App.
8. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services to function, including Google Cloud (Translate, Text-to-Speech, Storage, and generative AI), Google Sign-In, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play, SendGrid, Amazon SES, Cloudflare, and Sentry. Your use of the App may be subject to those providers' own terms, and we are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes in those third-party services that affect App functionality. 9. Suspension and Termination
- By you: You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within the App's settings.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or if required to do so by law. Where practical, we will provide notice of the reason for suspension or termination.
- Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any pre-paid subscription fees except as required by Apple's or Google's refund policies or applicable law.
- Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 7, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated translations, definitions, example sentences, pronunciation guidance, images, or Personal Tutor responses. Language learning outcomes depend on your own effort and consistency; we do not guarantee any specific learning result.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law applicable to you, including any statutory consumer rights available to you as a consumer in Poland or the European Union.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for flangu Pro in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) €50 (or the equivalent in your local currency).
This section does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory law applicable to you as a consumer.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Poland, except where mandatory consumer-protection law entitles you to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence, in which case that right is preserved.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also be entitled to use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
13. Changes to the App and These Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; if we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the App or by other means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
14. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements on this subject.
