Global statistics covers your snapshot totals: counts, quality, maturity. This article covers the numbers that describe change over time instead: your streak, your activity history, how many cards you're creating and learning, and what's coming due next.
Current streak
Your current streak is the number of consecutive days you've completed at least one review. It appears in two places:
Home shows a 7-day strip: a checkmark for each of the last 7 days, filled in if you reviewed that day.
Stats shows the same streak as a number, alongside your card and deck counts. If your current streak matches or beats your longest one, this tile flags it rather than showing the count twice.
A day counts as active the moment you complete one review on it. It doesn't matter how many reviews you do, or how long you spend. The day boundary uses your device's configured timezone, not UTC, so it lines up with when your day actually starts and ends.
Missing a full day breaks the streak back to zero. There's no grace period and no way to restore a broken streak.
Longest and average streak
Below the current streak, Stats has a Streak & Consistency section with two more numbers:
- Longest: the longest run of consecutive active days you've ever had. Once your current streak passes it, this number updates to match.
- Average: the average length of your streaks, counting every run of consecutive active days you've ever had, not just the current one. A single very long streak in your history pulls this average up; a habit of short, broken runs pulls it down.
Note
Average streak is not average reviews per day. It's the average length, in days, of the streaks themselves.
Three more rows sit alongside these: days since your first review, total active days, and total inactive days. Active and inactive days both count from your first review onward, so together they always add up to that same "days since first review" number.
Activity heatmap
Home also shows a full-year activity heatmap: one cell per calendar day, shaded by how many reviews you did that day. Darker cells mean more reviews; empty cells mean none.
Tap a cell to see its exact review count and date.
Below the grid, four numbers summarize the year: total reviews, your daily average across days you were active, how many days you've logged, and your best streak.
The heatmap only appears on the Home screen. It's not duplicated on the Stats tab.
Card growth
The Growth card on Stats tracks two different measurements of how your collection is progressing:
- Created: how many cards you've added, based on when each card was made. This counts creation, not review: adding ten cards to a deck without reviewing any of them still counts as ten toward that period's total.
- Learned: how many cards have finished their initial learning steps and reached the Review state for the first time. See Card states for what "Review" means.
A toggle switches between the two. A separate toggle above it switches the time window between 30 days, 12 weeks, and 12 months. The chart re-buckets to match the selected window rather than just stretching or compressing the same bars: daily bars for 30 days, weekly bars for 12 weeks, monthly bars for 12 months.
A dashed reference line marks the average across completed periods. The most recent bar is always partial: today, this week, or this month, still in progress, so it's excluded from that average and shown at reduced opacity. Tap any bar to see its exact count; the current, still-filling period is marked "(so far)".
Note
Learned counts a card once, the first time it reaches the Review state. If a card later lapses back to Learning and graduates again, that doesn't count a second time.
Due forecast
Also on Stats, the due forecast shows how many cards will come due on each of the next several days, as a bar chart. A toggle switches the horizon between 7, 14, and 30 days.
Cards that are already overdue are folded into today's bar rather than shown separately, so the first bar can be larger than your usual daily total.
Note
This forecast counts every card whose scheduled review date falls on a given day. It doesn't account for a deck's daily new-card or review limits. If a deck caps you at 20 reviews a day, a bar showing 40 cards due that day still means 40 cards are scheduled, not that you'll clear all 40 in one sitting. See Deck settings for how those limits work.
